Genesis 2:18-25 Do you ever read the manual when you buy a new gadget or appliance? Most don’t, and then end up calling the helpline to complain that it doesn’t work! The Bible is the manual God has given us for life. In this talk we look at his instructions for marriage – and discover not just how to make it work, but also that it has profound spiritual lessons to teach all of us, whether married or single.

Be Thinking: Truth & Love

2 John If a junior needs negative feedback, it can feel kinder to just leave it. No-one likes to hear they’re failing, right? But if it were the other way round, wouldn’t you want to know so you could change? How can we speak with both truth and love? Shouldn’t Christians be a bit more malleable with some biblical truth, so they can be that bit more loving?

Doubt: 4: Does God love me?

Romans 5:1-11 Does God love me? Sometimes we may be tempted to doubt whether he does because of sin in our lives. At other times it may be because of suffering, when we wonder why God has allowed this to happen to us if he really loves us. This passage shows us where we can find assurance of God’s love at such times.
