OTIC – Remembrance – Interviewing Matt Maer

Matt Maer commanded the 1st Battalion PWRR Battle Group in Iraq in 2004 during which his unit was the most attacked in the British Army since the Korean War. He rose to the rank of Brigadier and was awarded the Distinguished Service Order for his leadership in Iraq in the aftermath of the invasion, and he features in the Richard Holmes book ‘Dusty Warriors’. He was made an MBE for running operations for the British sector in Bosnia. He has seen five tours in Northern Ireland, two in Bosnia and one in Kosovo. He is now Director of Security at Canary Wharf.

“Where is God in a messed up world?”

A week after Remembrance Day, many ask- where is God in this messed up world? If God is all loving, and all powerful, how can he allow such suffering? Is this the final nail in the coffin for Christianity, or can Jesus give compelling answers and even pose his own questions?

OTIC – Interviewing Jamie Jones-Buchanan

Jamie Jones-Buchanan is a GB, England and Leeds Rhinos Rugby League Player. He has won 4 super-league titles and only missed this season’s Super league victory through injury. Jamie is a committed Christian and loves to share how his faith impacts his sport and every area of life.
