Money and anxieties often shape our life choices; we all aim to be financially well off or perhaps just to be secure. Jesus warns you and me that we could be financially well off but still be considered a fool by God. He also offers us good reasons why we can have security investing in what is eternal.
2 Thessalonians 3 When we think about hope it can be easy to ignore the ‘now’. Here we see that hoping in the faithfulness of God is to lead us to live Godly lives now.
The Average person will spend a third of their adult life at work, in the Wharf it is likely to be more, as Christians there can sometimes be a disconnect between what happens on a Sunday morning at church and the rest of the week – Why does our work matter to God? Why does God matter to our work?
Nehemiah 2:9-3:32 Do you ever get the fear of missing out? The good news of this week’s passage is that when it comes to building the people of God, we don’t have to! Nehemiah trusts God and the people get to work, just as we can trust that Christ will build his Church and can join in.
